Roshan Rahain To Organize Youth Film Festival.

Roshan Rahain, a young organization which is committed to educating children, women and the youth, will be organizing Youth Film Festival in Lahore on 26th May’17. An extension of Roshan Rahain’s beliefs, which earlier also organized a successful Pakistan’s first ever Music Festival for Children and Families, the Youth Film Festival has been planned following the carrying out of research, which concluded that globally films are one of the most effective mediums to help express, educate, and learn.
Roshan Rahain strongly believes that Pakistan’s youth has great potential, and would like to provide them with a platform using films to improve their confidence and cultivate their social skills. The organization reached out to local universities and spoke directly to students for submissions and attending the free Film Making Workshops.

Students wanting to participate in the festival can submit their films by uploading the films via Facebook and inboxing the link to Roshan Rahain’s official page www.facebook.com/RoshanRahain.org/.

The winner of the festival will be awarded a paid work contract by one of Pakistan’s leading manufacturer, professional series camera by Canon and a chance to work on an in-house production by one of Pakistan’s biggest entertainment channel.

The final event will be taking place on 26th May’17 in Lahore. CityFM89 is the official radio partner for the festival.

MCR will be the first international food chain to have ventured on this path. With over 70 Pizza Hut® restaurants across the nation, it is already the largest international fast food chain in Pakistan.

Aqueel Hassan, CEO of MCR, and Randall Blackford, Managing Director META Region of YUM! Brands, signed a master franchise agreement on behalf of the two companies giving MCR the rights to sub-franchise Pizza Hut® restaurants and expand its presence in Pakistan.

The event was chaired by US Consul General Grace Shelton. Speaking at the occasion Consul General Shelton said, “Today we mark another successful American-Pakistani business partnership. We are delighted to celebrate Pizza Hut’s® growth as the largest restaurant chain in Pakistan”

Video of  upcoming Pakistani movie, MehrunisaVLubU’s song Tu Hi Tu released. This song is picturized on Danish Taimoor and Sana Javed.
Eminent poet, lyricist and film director Gulzar sahib wrote the lyrics of this song which was sung by Sukhwindar Singh. Music of this song is produced by Simaab Sen and Praful Karlekar and the music is arranged by Prakash Peters.

Locations selected for shooting this song are admirable. This song is recorded at Audio Garage (Amey Londhe), Rajdwar Studio (Mahesh Hiremath). Abhishek Sortey did the mixing and mastering of this song.  

Sound quality looks good and this is a commendable as dubbing problems surfaced during majority of lollywood movies. Sukhwindar Singh’s voice is good and it suites perfectly on Danish Taimoor. It is heartening to witness good quality choreography in a lollywood movie. Dance steps are well rehearsed by all performers. Music’s bass in my view should be more prominent. Lyrics have a impression of Gulzar sahib and listener will like them.

Produced by Nida Yasir Hassan Zia and Yasir Nawaz, this movie is expected to be hit cinemas nationwide on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.


The initial look of this movie is appealing but the key question is that will it be able to pull in the audience into the cinema houses. We all have to wait few months to get the answer of this question. Till that time lets all dance on the tune of Tu Hi Tu

If you accept the proposition that anyone who is willing to pay you for a good or service is worth paying attention to, then any customer is good your business.

Right?

Maybe not.

Some customers produce revenue for you, but the emotional and financial costs you incur to generate it are unreasonable.

Some customers are more of a hindrance than an asset.

These are low or "no value" customers who should command an investment proportionate to their worth.

Many organizations that I have experienced have difficulty scaling the level of investment they apply to the value of the customer. They assume that "a customer is a customer" and therefore apply the same effort to satisfy each one of them.

They treat all of their customers the same way; the highest value customer receives the sale level of service, for example, as the no-value one. 

Or, they actually provide the no-value customer premium benefits that high value ones don't enjoy. My favourite example of this are the promotional incentives offered to lure customers away from their current supplier. "Come to us and receive 3 months free service" or "Switch to our product and a flat screen LED TV will be yours" are commonly used offers when an organization wants to add new customers. 



Special marketing deals could kill customer loyalty. Most companies use special offers or promotions to attract new customers and kick sales up a notch.




The costs of acquiring a new customer are significant, and are often incurred for a customer who spends virtually nothing with their new supplier or they switch again when a better offer comes along leaving unrecoverable investments in their wake.

Furthermore there is unintended collateral damage from this type of promotion. Existing customers discover the special offer is available, but not to customers who may have been with the organization for many years and demonstrated their loyalty many times over. 

These disenchanted "loyalists" voice their displeasure to others and often switch to another organization they believe will treat them more fairly. 

High performing organizations invest in customers who will provide a decent return on that investment . The higher the value, the greater level attention and resources applied. 





Choose the customers you want to SERVE carefully. They must have the potential to deliver your 








And the more favourable treatment given. The highest value customers receive the better levels of services and any new promotional offerings. Check out The Grateful Dead who understood this

No-value "promiscuous" customers, on the other hand, receive a "no frills" level of service and no special treatment.

Every organization has limitations on the resources they have available for their customers. 

You can't afford to be all things to all people even if they are your customers. It's just not a responsible thing to do.

No two customers are alike; no two customers create the same economic value for you.

Determine the ones who make your life worthwhile.

Focus on THEM; leave the "bad ones" for someone else to chase.

When the ground under you is constantly, nimbleness and dexterity are all that's keeping you from succumbing to the elements.

The critical function responsible for determining how an organization will move forward and contend with the unexpected is marketing.

Which, of the four following marketing strategies, do you think is the most appropriate in times of intense competition, uncertainty and random shock?

a) Leverage technology as the key differentiator. Lead the market with technical innovation

b) Push products aggressively using mass marketing tactics. Pursue maximizing sales volume by casting the net over as many potential customers as possible. 

c) Shrink product lines; focus on those with strong sales volume and healthy margins in an effort to sustain financial health.

d) Shift the imperative away from products to creating experiences for customers; seamlessly integrating individual products and services to deliver personalized value for individuals.

Chaos and instability in the environment requires that organizations stay close to their customers; to deepen relationships with them. To maintain their loyalty through times of turbulence.

Product flogging, cost control and a focus on technology will not "marry" you to your customer; creating memorable experiences for them will.

Experiences make people happy; they remember them. But the lustre of a new product or technology quickly fades. 

To more effectively serve the needs of their organization in new market realities, marketers need to refocus their attention; break the cycle of pushing products and technology.

They would be remembered and they would be talked about. 

Stability for organizations in an unstable world can only be approached by delighting customers so they stay, not go.

According to figures released by Boxofficedetails, Mehrunissa V Lub U has raked in 17.5 milion approx. on day two which is an excellent result. Film has taken two days total to around 2.85cr approx. and is heading toward a rough estimate of 45 million Weekend earning. This will be 3rd biggest Weekend earning of the year.

The film directed by Yasir Nawaz, who has also seen the blockbuster success of “Wrong No.” places the story of a romantic love story in the midst of the nail-biting action, stomach tickling comedy and unlimited drama. The cast includes Sana Javed and Danish Taimoor as lead actors while supporting roles are played by Javed Sheikh and Qavi Khan. ‘Nokia Ronaldinho & Friends’ trophy unveiled

Leisure Leagues unveiled the trophy to be awarded to the winning team in the exhibition match to be played by Ronaldinho and friends squad. The trophy dazzles in Swarovski crystal made in Australia, and captures the grandeur of the event that’s going to take place in Pakistan. Punjab Nahi Jaungi, the upcoming movie of ARY Films & Six Sigma Plus will be released to cinemas around the country on Eid Ul Adha.

The trailer of the film was showcased to the members of the media for the first time at a special event organized at Nueplex cinema Karachi.

Follow the leader is played with the belief that somehow a standout competitive claim will evolve and resonate with customers.

It just does not happen.

The same products and services end up in most organizations' portfolios. Me-too features and capabilities are pushed on the market with the hope and prayer that a miracle will happen and their version will end up being the winner.

What the technology can do is given the limelight over the value it creates for people.

Mass markets are catered to, driven by a one-size-fits-all marketing mentality. Individuals take second row seat to plurality. Product corners are rounded, believing that incremental changes will make the product appeal to more people. The problem is, this strategy results in the product appealing to no one.

Businesses rush to offer lower prices than their competition, believing that this price position will engender customer loyalty and gain competitive advantage. Everyone is in this game to a degree. It seems that the herd races to the bottom on price rather than enduring the grueling work to race to the top on unique value creation for people.

The bottom line: the world is burning with a growing competitive flame yet organizations are not good at establishing a clear, relevant and unique claim that distinguishes them from their competitors and that makes them stand out from everyone else.

What's the solution?

If the competitive herd is copying products and services, features and benefits, the right long-term strategy is to be different, to stand out from the herd.

How do you stand out? By creating and delivering value that is relevant (something that people really care about) and unique (something that only you provide).

The end-game is to create an organization that consistently creates distinction, uniqueness, remarkability,gasp-worthiness, indispensability, memorability and unforgettability for the people it chooses to serve.

These are the key strategic concepts that should drive how we innovate and shape our organizations.

These are the characteristics that attract people to buy from an organization because it makes them feel good. Yes, feelings are a hard-core business concept that drives repeat purchases and long-term customer loyalty.

On the other hand, if you can't be gasp-worthy to people, be prepared to be common, ignored, invisible, dispensable and dead (sooner or later).

Be different or be dead.

Dawn Films and IMGC’s much talked about star-studded movie, ‘Saat Din Mohabbat In’ has gone on-floor today in Karachi after successful rehearsals throughout July.
The film will star the gorgeous Mahira Khan, alongside the Sheheryar Munawar in leading roles, and will be their second film together after the 2016 blockbuster ‘Ho Mann Jahaan.’ This film will mark Mira Sethi’s film debut along with model turned actor Aamna Illyas next foray on the big screen. Aamir Qureshi and Adnan Shah Tipu will also be seen in titular roles.

The film, scripted by Fasih Bari Khan, follows a young man on a quest to find his true love in a crowded Karachi neighbourhood. Like all good love stories, he will encounter spiritual and physical obstacles that he must overcome in order to achieve his goals. 
Director duo Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi have teamed up with renowned Director of Photography, Rana Kamran, who has hits like Na Maloom Afraad to his credit, rolled the camera today with the first shot.

Saat Din Mohabbat In is slated to release in 2018.

Coke Studio celebrates Pakistan’s milestone 70th anniversary of Independence by releasing a heartwarming rendition of the National Anthem, sung by all 40 singers who will feature during the Season.  A national anthem of any country is an integral part of its identity, arousing strong feelings of pride, loyalty, patriotism and allegiance.
The powerfully moving rendition of the national anthem will be the perfect launch of what will be landmark tenth consecutive season of the country’s iconic platform, Coke Studio, quite aptly known as the Sound of the Nation.

Emirates’ newly revamped A380 Onboard Lounge has made its operational debut on a flight to Kuala Lumpur, marking the 9th anniversary of the airline’s award-winning A380 service.

The Onboard Lounge was first introduced on 1 August, 2008 and has since become a mainstay of Emirates’ double decker aircraft. Now in its 9th year, the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge is arguably the most popular social spot at 40,000 feet.

The latest makeover of the lounge, inspired by private yacht cabins, features a more intimate social area. With a clientele made up of Business and First Class customers on board the A380, the exclusive lounge accommodates 26 guests.
