Two no balls, one in the 7th over of West Indies innings by India’s premier spinner Ashwin and other one by Pandya in the 15th over of West Indies innings proved fatal for India as on both these occasions the man who led West Indies to a memorable victory was dismissed. Barring these two fortunate moments, Lendl Simmons innings was flawless and he calmly first in partnership with rookie Johnson Charles and later in partnership with Andre Russell, helped West Indies chased a mammoth target of 192 set by India on the back of Virat Kohli’s sublime 89 scored of just 63 balls. India’s captain MS.Dhoni gave finishing touches to India’s innings with a fine 24 of just 15 balls.
West Indies by successfully chasing down this huge total without any notable contribution from their master blaster Chris Gayle shrugged of the notion that they are one man battalion
